The Kentucky Recreation
and Park Society serves its members with plenty of learning opportunities.
It is a core
belief that learning is a crucial component of delivering service in the
parks and recreation field and as a vital
ingredient to building an excellent personal career. It is also a
crucial revenue stream for the society.
The center of the learning available is the
KRPS Annual Conference
and Trade Show, usually held in November.
Some educational offerings center around
Aquatics,
such as the Pool Safety Workshop, CPO & AFO Certification.
Innovations
is a developing series with a focus on leading-edge, creative approaches in
programming.
The
Leaders Forum, hosted every year
by the Past President, targets middle & upper management best practices.
The National Playground Safety Institute is the premier workshop &
certification event for
playground safety. |
